UPDATE September 9, 2020
We are happy to report that after enduring another lockdown that began mid-Aug, the USVI will again open for business Sept 20th. While cases continue to expand in the islands, the rate has been slowing recently. Improved treatments also mean this virus is less deadly than it was just a few months ago.
Thus far the USVI has experienced a total of 1200 cases with 18 deaths.
Guests arriving at the STT airport can expect to be temperature-tested after deplaning and before entering bag claim. And make sure that if you are from any of the following States that you have a negative Covid test within 5 days of your arrival. (Currently those states include Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Nevada, South Carolina and Texas).
As an essential business Dolphin has continued to operate between Red Hook and Cruz Bay. We look forward to tourists returning in earnest with the Sept 20th re-opening of hotels and villas so we can transport guests from our counter at bag claim through Red hook and on to St John Cruz Bay, or The Westin.
We have been keeping our fingers crossed that the BVI will also again open soon. And while there has been no official notification of a firm date, the one presently tentatively being planned is for Nov 1st. Again, Dolphin will begin its operations as soon as the BVI opens the borders to tourist traffic. Feel free to text us at 340-774-2628 for the very latest information about openings in St thomas, St John, and the BVI.
